Community Connection
As Colossian Baptist Church (CBC) engages the concentric (local, state and national) communities, we are a modern church 'doing' the Good News of Jesus Christ with modern methods. These methods will enhance the independence and personal responsibility of persons while developing CBC as a vital collaborator in the community.
CBC is intentionally spreading that gospel by providing human services to the concentric communities in the following specific ways:
SPIRITUAL
Conducting worship and praise services that intentionally reach each segment of the population.
HEALTH CONCERNS
Assessing, identifying and correcting nutritional, developmental and ambulatory issues (Health ministry, Food Bank Program, SHARE).
SOCIAL AWARENESS
Create opportunities for the individual and the corporate body to interact with others (Men's Fellowship, Women's Ministry, Youth Ministry) [Family Life ]).
INWARD EVANGELISM 'Co-Laborers as Collaborators'
Intentional, in-depth sharing of experiences and mentoring. Expand the Prayer Partner Piece. 'I Know Your Pain - Been There, Done That'
NETWORKING "Let's Get Busy"
Create opportunities for businesses and government agencies to partner while expanding the community's awareness of governmental products and services (Grant Writing).
EDUCATIONAL ENCOUNTERS
On line classes, enabling seniors to become computer-literate and creating a Community Computer Lab.
If you are a teacher, tutor, volunteer, parent and/or community leader with a desire to enhance the educational development of our youth, please take this as your personal invitation to join others as we step into the S.T.E.P. program at Colossian Baptist Church.
