Scholarship Ministry
The Colossian Baptist Church Scholarship Committee was originally started in the year of 1992 - 93 with Trustee Norris Baker as President and Sister Alvertis Jackson as Secretary. Trustee Baker remained as president until the year 2003 when he stepped down from the position; Sister Jackson continues to hold the position of Secretary.

It is the desire of this committee to expose our young people to the correct way to complete an application for college, write letters for college admission present themselves and dress appropriately for job interviews, and to assist them in whatever ways possible in becoming the best that they can be. All applicants are urged to follow the guidelines set by the committee and approved by the church in submitting their application packets.
Students in Grade 12 may pick up an application packet from the church office.
Lord, when I sense Your call to serve, Help me to follow through; I must not just stand by and pray, When there is work to do.
