CBC's Male Chorus - invited guests of
Pastor Dano J. Armstrong, Sr. and the Messiah Baptist Church Male Chorus during their Annual Men's Day Program on Sunday, July 13th at 4:00 pm. Messiah Baptist Church is located at 1152 24th Street in Newport News. Everyone is invited to attend.

CBC will be in Revival with Pastor Barbara Lemmon and the Shiloh Baptist Church family on July 31st at 7:00 pm.

Psalm 27
Pastor Evans encouraged the congregation to all say the same things and he implemented this by having us begin with Psalm 27. We have been tasked with committing to memory this scripture for 2008.

After-School Tutoring Program
Colossian is offering after school tutoring for children in grades 2 to 12 in ENGLISH, BASIC MATH, HISTORY, READING/WRITING COMP, SCIENCE, SOCIAL STUDIES, BIOLOGY, ALGEBRA 1 & 2, MATH. Parents with students in need of assistance can pickup your paperwork from Sister Tucker. POC: Sister Cheryl Evans.

CBC Library
Our library is open for check-out on Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 - 8:00 pm. We would like to thank everyone for your donations. The Library will be self help and available for members to check out or use materials while in the Library. All materials can be checked out up to two weeks at a time. We are still in need of Encyclopedias; Dictionaries; Bible Books; History and Science Books; World Atlas; Hooked on Phonics reading program; Magazines; Cassettes and reading material for all ages. The Library Committee will take inventory of all incoming material and keep an ongoing update in the system. Feel free to leave your donations with Sister Tucker.

CBC Baptist Training Union (BTU) The BTU is designed to instruct all church members in basic bible beliefs, Baptist doctrine, church membership, discipline, policy and procedures. We are still accepting registrations. BTU cards can be obtained from our Ushers on Sunday, the Church Secretary or Finance Secretary on Monday - Friday, or from any of our BTU staff members. We ask that you fill out a card for every family member who will be attending, including family members under the age of 6. Arrangements are made to accommodate all children under the age of 6. Change of Address Information
Colossian members are asked to notify the church office of your address/phone number changes

Nursery
The Nursery is open for infants to 4 years old during the 8:00 and 11:30 am morning worship services. For assistance, please ask our Ushers. Nursery Aids are asked to only be present on your scheduled Sunday.
